Programming

For campfires to be fun and enjoyable for all, it always depends on the quality of songs, cheers, and skits chosen. Each group is encouraged to choose songs, cheers, and skits that they feel will be unique and hopefully other groups will not repeat for added variety. The detailed run-down of the songs, cheers, and skits will be prepared by the Campfire Chief.

As for our mug-up, it will be hot chocolate. Since every participant is expected to have had dinner before they attend, meal-sized snacks will not be prepared. For mug-up, please remind all participants to bring their own mugs (labeled with their names and group) so that we can all minimize waste. Please inform us if any youth cannot have hot chocolate due to allergies!

Participants:

Please remind your leaders, youth, and parents that day to dress according to weather. During this time of the year the weather can be sunny, windy, or rainy. Please also bring a flashlight as the campsite can be fairly dark after the sun sets.

We encourage everyone to bring one non-perishable food item to help the less fortunate. This is important as scouts is committed to serving the community at large.

If any youth are bringing along friends, or parents intending to attend as well, please remember to fill out the appropriate forms. Any non-scouting members should fill-out the “Individual Hold-Harmless Form”, while parents should fill out the “Physical Fitness Form for Non-members

To ensure the safety of our youths, there shall be no parking on the inside of Woodwards Landing. There will be Volunteers directing traffic when parents arrive.

Please advise all parents to park their vehicles on Dyke Road.
